This is a fantastic dictionary app that covers a huge range of modern & outdated words as well as idiomatic expressions. Definitely the best free Ger-Eng dictionary out there! Would be a five star app if it werent for the extremely frustrating organization of the entries. All possible definitions of a word are organized alphabetically instead of by frequency or meaning, which sometimes makes it challenging to figure out what a word actually means. There are also frequent typos in the entries which may or may not be a big deal, depending on how much german you already know.

I use it on German class and it is easy and fast.

I was disappointed that it does not include conjugations of German verbs. Seems useful for phrases.

I cant compare this app to similar products, but I used it on two trips to Germany without any complaints.

I have used this app for some time and find it to be fast and comprehensive. I continue to find features that are useful. I only wish that it could be directly integrated into the Ipad as a native dictionary.

I love this dictionary. I would live to see words returned with their plural form as well. And would pay for an expansion of example usage. But Ive used lots of dictionaries online and this is my favorite so far. Very easy interface. I think the google translate is a little buggy. Sometimes throws an error.

This dictionary is a trusted resource that I use everyday. It seems very complete; multiple definitions are a real plus. Es ist sehr gut!

This is an ok dictionary with a decent sized listing. But, without Noun Plurals it simply is not very valuable; not even for free which it isnt.

Love this app, as does my husband. He spoke German as a child and finds this helpful for words he doesnt remember. Im learning German and especially like the voice feature that helps with speaking the word correctly. No longer take a dictionary with us when we head to Germany. But they have changed the speed of the voice and now even at the slowest speed its way toooooooooo fast.

Overall, I think that this is a very useful and easy to use dictionary. It is well supported by the company and is subject to regular upgrades that improve the usability of the dictionary. I have used this software for close to 4 years, and there are a few issues that I would mention. One is that some of the English phrases are very strange, and are not used at all in American English. Perhaps some of these phrases are more common elsewhere in the English speaking world, but some certainly sound like direct machine translations from German. Even so, this reduces my confidence in the German phrases provided, and I feel the need to run more complex phrases in the dictionary by my German friends before I incorporate it into my own usage. Also, occasionally, I find a commonly used German word that is not present in the dictionary. This is not terribly common though. If I were to provide any constructive feedback to the makers of this dictionary, I would recommend the following: one, include the singular and plural forms of nouns in the same entry. Sometimes one or the other is completely absent from the dictionary. Second, I would love to see conjugation provided for verbs. Currently, I use the program German Verb Conjugation by Ian Tipton for this purpose. Overall, this is a good program, but I frequently feel the need to verify definitions with a native German speaker and the dictionary is less comprehensive than I would like.

Easy to use, intuitive interface. Gives multiple word options to get a better sense of what the word actually translates to. Plus common phrases help put the word into context. Highly recommend.

this is a fantastic german English dictionary. i live in Germany and it has never failed me. very comprehensive. its worth paying for if you are studying German or visiting Germany.

This German-English app works great! It even comes up with the right translations for various Erne tenses. The lookup history is also great.
